Jaynes provides our employees a variety of training opportunities in Sustainable Design Principles including USGBC online website training; local LEED-NC Technical Review Workshops; Using LEED on School Projects; LEED for General Contractors/Construction Managers Workshops, and our own training curriculum in conjunction with Central New Mexico College.
Jaynes’ project management team members utilize the LEED for General Contractors/Construction Managers publication published by the U.S. Green Building Council as well as an in-house outline of LEED Contractor Responsibilities and a checklist of LEED approved materials and products.
Jaynes Team members insure the LEED Contractor Responsibilities (13 of 69 total points) are coordinated during both the preconstruction and construction phase activities. Material selection, use of local materials, building systems, means and methods evaluations recommendations are carefully considered during the preconstruction estimating and value engineering services. Jaynes estimating staff routinely prices alternate products and building systems that are being considered to obtain the LEED rating. Jaynes jobsite personnel coordinate and manage project waste management, recycling and use of recycled materials, site disturbance activities, and indoor air quality monitoring programs.
