The Jaynes Corporation, an ENR top 200 general contractor specializing in commercial construction projects, ranging from $10M to $35M, is now accepting applications in their Las Vegas office.
Jaynes Corporation is seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer to provide safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement on its Creech Air Force Base, NV construction projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Ten (10) years of experience as a construction site safety and health officer (with five of those years in a government setting) on similar type construction
Experience with Department of Defense and/or Army Corps of Engineers projects
30 hour OSHA construction safety class or equivalent within the last five (5) years
An average of at least 24 hours per year of formal safety training for the past five (5) years
Competent Person status in at least four of the following areas of: Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall Protection, Hazardous Energy, Confined Space, Health Hazard Recognition or Personal Protection Equipment and Clothing
Ability to utilize basic software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication and conflict management skills
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
