Jaynes Corporation Leaders Join Leadership New Mexico Board of Directors

July 20 2009 - Jaynes Corporation leaders join Leadership New Mexico Board of Directors.

Jaynes Corporation is pleased to announce that Bill Florez, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jaynes Corporation of Colorado and Executive Vice President of Jaynes Farmington Operations, is among the 46 statewide leaders who recently graduated from the Leadership New Mexico Core Program. Florez has also accepted a position to serve on Leadership New Mexico’s 2009-2010 Board of Directors.

Jaynes Corporation is also pleased to announce that Wayne Davenport, Chief Financial Officer of Jaynes Corporation, has accepted the position of Core Program Curriculum Committee Chairman and will serve on Leadership New Mexico’s 2009-2010 Board of Directors.

Leadership New Mexico, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, was founded in 1995 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout New Mexico, enhance their leadership skills, and deepen their understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our state. The organization conducts three separate leadership programs each year, the Core Program for statewide business executives, the Local Government Leadership Program, an educational partnership with the New Mexico Municipal League and the New Mexico Association of Counties, for county and municipal officials and members of the New Mexico National Guard, school boards and regional councils of governments, and Connect New Mexico “The Next Generation of Leadership” for leaders ages 25-40.

The founders of Leadership New Mexico recognized the need to educate existing and emerging leaders. They sought to provide these leaders with the knowledge to develop initiatives that address social and economic issues in New Mexico. By engaging people in solution-seeking communication, Leadership New Mexico encourages program graduates to assume leadership roles on community and statewide issues, and develop networks for effective leadership. New Mexico’s future prosperity is directly dependent upon the quality and contributions of its leadership. Every responsible, informed, and dedicated individual can have a great impact on the future of New Mexico.

Open to all citizens of the state, the Leadership New Mexico Core Program involves leaders who represent the various geographic regions and communities, from the public, private, government, and non-profit sectors. Special consideration is given to ensure diversity of geography, race, gender, and occupational background. Employers, community organizations, local leadership programs, or individuals may nominate candidates who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential. Individuals may also nominate themselves.

Leadership New Mexico is supported by tuition and the contributions of individuals, corporations, and foundations, such as the Healy Foundation, ConocoPhillips, Albuquerque Journal, BP America, First Community Bank, Lexus of Albuquerque, PNM, REDW LLC The Rogoff Firm, Starline Printing, and Wells Fargo Bank of New Mexico.
