January 05 2012 - Outstanding Business/Corporation in Philanthropy award presented to Jaynes. Jaynes Corporation is proud to be named an Outstanding Business/Corporation in Philanthropy. This award was presented to Don Power, Chairman of the Board and CEO, at the National Philanthropy Day celebration on November 18, 2011 in recognition of Jaynes' involvement in the philanthropic community. October 20 2011 - Governor Martinez signs in-state preference bill at Jaynes office in Albuquerque On October 6, 2011, Governor Susana Martinez visited the Jaynes Corporation office in Albuquerque to sign into law a preference bill that will close a loophole allowing out-of-state companies to receive a preference reserved for New Mexico businesses when bidding on state contracts. Under this legislation, businesses will be required to be housed in the state and to employ New Mexico workers in order to be eligible for a five percent advantage when doing business with state and local governments. Senator Tim Keller, who was also in Albuquerque for the signing on October 6, and Representative Larry Larranaga sponsored this bill. Jaynes Corporation Constructing Four Corners Regional EcocenterOctober 20 2011 - San Juan County Recycling Project Breaks Ground On October 6, 2011, San Juan County and Farmington government leaders broke ground at a recycling center that will serve the entire Four Corners region. The Farmington office of Jaynes Corporation is building the Four Corners Regional Ecocenter. This facility will process between 400,000 and 600,000 pounds of recyclables per month at first and could expand that number to a million pounds per month in the future. Officials at the groundbreaking said that the center will extend the life of the landfill, create jobs, save residents, local governments and businesses money and have environmental benefits. Darrel Massegee & Robert Bransford Chosen As Superintendent and Project Manager of 2011June 28 2011 - ASA - NM names Darrel Massegee & Robert Bransford as Superintendent and Project Manager of the Year for 2011 Darrel Massegee and Robert Bransford of Jaynes Corporation were named New Mexico’s top construction superintendent and project manager for 2011 by their peers in the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) of New Mexico. They join an elite group of professional construction personnel from across the country as “best of the best.” Jaynes Las Vegas Participates in AGC Charity Project
March 11 2011 - As part of the AGC Charities Operation Opening Doors program, Jaynes Las Vegas is working on a project that will make significant improvements to the home of one very special family in Las Vegas. The Rotta family includes five adopted children, some with unique medical needs. Diagnosed as an infant, sixteen year old daughter Ashlyn suffers from Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, an extremely rare form of childhood-onset epilepsy. As her condition worsens, Ashlyn is becoming increasingly wheelchair-bound, making it difficult for the family to move her around their split-level house. |
