WNMU Light Hall Renovation

RECIPIENT OF A HERITAGE PRESERVATION AWARD FOR ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE

This 1920’s structure needed updated features to address the new vision Western New Mexico University had for the space. To get to where it is today, the team had to concentrate on maintaining the original structure while implementing new technologies in the space. With the added weight of of AV, and mechanical systems, the team had to retro-fit, refurbish and rebuild trussing into Light Hall. Special consideration was made to tie electrical ports, dedicated circuits, and wiring for the technology tie-ins.
