Construction of new fire station with training tower and associated site work.

 

New construction of a 28,340 SF two-story, wood framed building, a 5,500 SF reserve apparatus building and a 3,000 SF structural steel training tower. The facility includes CMU elements and standing seam metal roofing with stucco exterior. Grading, site improvements, and street frontage improvements are also included.

The station will house up to fifteen fire fighters and a Battalion Chief. Areas included an apparatus room with four drive-thru bays, bunk rooms, fitness area, kitchen, dayroom, shop, dispatch and administrative spaces. As a headquarter for the City of Escondido, the station will house 1 paramedic fire engine, 1 truck company, 2 ambulances and 1 battalion chief vehicle and serve as a training facility for city and other fire districts.
