Educational Trades & Technology Facility
This project consists of two large shop additions for diesel and automotive classes as well as new classrooms, offices, and restroom facilities. A new fire-sprinkler system and HVAC systems were added, as well as upgrading the electrical systems throughout the building. The project is 79,817 s.f. total, with 15,600 of it being the new additions.
The two shop additions are steel frame structures with EIFS wall finishes. The shops include under-slab vehicle exhaust systems and a state-of-the-art Dynamometer for 4-wheel drive vehicles. The site work included new fenced vehicle storage areas and several handicap ramps and accessible sidewalks to bring the building up to current codes.
