Abq International Sunport Parking Garage

The Sunport parking garage significantly changed Jaynes’s trajectory in the construction industry. This project completed in 1989 and at the time, was the largest project our team delivered. The 1.3 million square-foot parking structure has 3,469 parking spaces which required approximately 55,000 cubic yards of concrete. This is roughly 82,000 tons of concrete that was poured to build a structure that is fully functional to this very day.

Jaynes self-performed 50% of this project. From this point on, our 80 person team realized that we had just begun to scratch the surface of what we were capable of accomplishing. Our perception of ourselves as a general contractor and how we were viewed by our peers was forever altered. Jaynes is now a leading contractor throughout the southwest and it all began with a belief that together, we are capable of achieving great things.
