Ari Garay, Federal Group Project Engineer Intern, Wins Prestigious Scholarship Ari Garay, a construction engineering student at the University of New Mexico (UNM), recently shared her experiences from her nine-month internship with Jaynes Corporation’s Federal Division. Ari credits the welcoming team and mentorship from Danielle Salazar and Justin Flores for her continued corporate education. “I started knowing little about construction, but every day I learned more thanks to my mentors and the supportive environment at Jaynes.” Despite balancing a very demanding university schedule, 19 credit hours, and 20 to 25 weekly work hours at Jaynes, Ari values the opportunities Jaynes offers. Her recent merit scholarship award from the Empower Her Scholarship, aided by recommendations from the Jaynes Federal team, will help her further her career and education goals. The Empower Her Scholarship, sponsored by Dr. Deb Fisher, a retired professor and noted AGC Educational Consultant, recognizes and supports women building careers in construction.
