JAYNES CONCRETE

An owner needs concrete work that supports the design, the construction sequence, and the building’s long-term use. Jaynes brings self-perform concrete expertise into early planning and field execution, connecting estimating, project management, and craftsmanship around those priorities.

Our capabilities include deep foundations, structural slabs, elevated decks, reinforced shear walls and building cores, architectural concrete, and concrete placement and finishing. The team supports preconstruction through estimating, scheduling input, and collaborative planning, then carries that knowledge into layout, mock-ups, safety inspections, and installation.

Self-performing this work gives Jaynes a direct role in managing the people and processes behind critical concrete scopes. For owners and project teams, that means access to professionals who understand both the drawings and the work required to build them. The concrete experts at Jaynes can address design questions, field conditions, and sequencing decisions while helping reduce project risk.
JAYNES' CONCRETE ROOTS
Jaynes began as a concrete company in 1946. As we grew into a full-service commercial general contractor, concrete remained central to our work. Foundations, structural slabs, and cast-in-place walls connect that history to the facilities Jaynes builds today.

That history has practical value. Lessons from one project inform the next: sequencing placements, planning for weather, coordinating adjacent trades, and preparing crews for demanding work. Keeping concrete expertise within Jaynes allows those lessons to move between project managers, engineers, superintendents, supervisors, and craft professionals.

Our concrete expertise has evolved alongside the tools. Modern formwork, digital layout, advanced concrete mixes, and specialized equipment support the team’s craftsmanship. They give experienced builders additional ways to plan and execute technically demanding concrete scopes. This combination reflects The Jaynes Way: take ownership, support the people doing the work, maintain a high standard, and keep improving. For the owner, those values matter when they show up in preparation, communication, and accountability in the field.

Early Concrete Planning
Bring field knowledge into project decisions.

Jaynes’ concrete team contributes estimating, scheduling input, and collaborative planning before construction. Involving the people who understand placement and finishing helps the project team examine how concrete work fits the design and overall sequence. Owners gain a practical perspective on critical scopes while decisions are still being developed.

Structural Concrete Expertise
Match the execution plan to the structure.

Deep foundations, elevated decks, reinforced walls, and building cores require close coordination of access, sequencing, and adjacent work. Jaynes brings experience in these scopes, supported by field leadership, formwork technologies, and specialized equipment. The team translates structural requirements into a workable field plan.

Direct Field Accountability
Connect project planning with the crews doing the work.

Self-performing concrete brings estimating, project management, and field execution under one organization. Jaynes can address concrete questions with its own team and coordinate decisions with designers, inspectors, owners, and adjacent trades. This creates a direct connection between project expectations and the people responsible for execution.

Architectural Concrete Craftsmanship
Treat finish requirements as part of the work.

Architectural concrete must satisfy visual expectations as well as its intended performance. Jaynes’ experience includes interior and exterior architectural concrete, colored concrete, and a range of finishes. Layout, mock-ups, placement, and finishing provide opportunities to address the details that shape the completed surface.

In-House Expertise That
Reduces Project Risk
Build on the lessons of previous projects.

Jaynes keeps concrete experience in-house and passes it between generations of field leaders and craft professionals. Knowledge of sequencing, safety planning, weather mitigation, and constructability informs subsequent work. Owners benefit from a team whose planning reflects the realities of concrete construction and whose approach evolves with new tools and methods.

Operating in the southwest

Eighty years is more than a milestone. It’s a testament to the resilience and craftsmanship of generations of Jaynes employees. It’s also a testament to the Jaynes community in the Southwest. Since 1946, Jaynes has built more than structures; we’ve built schools where futures begin, hospitals where healing takes place, and workplaces that drive innovation. Most meaningfully, Jaynes has built lasting relationships with owners, communities, and each other. This defines the Jaynes Way.
