Las Cruces

Jaynes opened its Las Cruces office in 2008, establishing a permanent presence in Southern New Mexico. As a 100% employee-owned company, we approach every project with a personal stake in the outcome and a responsibility to Las Cruces and the surrounding communities we call home.

Construction is our craft. Jaynes combines regional relationships with the knowledge, field leadership, and technical capabilities developed across 80 years of building throughout the Southwest. From higher education and healthcare to civic, public safety, recreation, commercial, and federal facilities, our teams help owners reduce risk, evaluate options, and make informed project decisions.

Through thoughtful preconstruction planning, experienced field management, self-perform capabilities, and sustainable construction practices, we partner with owners to create efficient, durable facilities suited to Southern New Mexico’s climate, communities, and long-term needs.

Las Cruces is where Jaynes employee-owners have built careers, trusted relationships, and community landmarks. We support education, workforce development, local organizations, and pathways into the construction trades because stronger communities depend on opportunity, connection, and investment.

Jaynes’ Southern New Mexico portfolio reflects enduring partnerships with public, institutional, and community owners. For the City of Las Cruces, our work includes the City Hall, the Convention Center, and the Regional Recreation and Aquatics Center. At New Mexico State University, Domenici Hall and the Institute for Public Policy created spaces for education, research, and public dialogue. The New Mexico Army National Guard Las Cruces Readiness Center supports military preparedness and service. Healthcare projects including Lincoln County Medical Center, the Artesia General Hospital renovation, and the Lohman Medical Office Building extend that impact across the region. Together, these projects demonstrate Jaynes’ commitment to building Southern New Mexico for the long term.

Operating in the southwest

Eighty years is more than a milestone. It’s a testament to the resilience and craftsmanship of generations of Jaynes employees. It’s also a testament to the Jaynes community in the Southwest. Since 1946, Jaynes has built more than structures; we’ve built schools where futures begin, hospitals where healing takes place, and workplaces that drive innovation. Most meaningfully, Jaynes has built lasting relationships with owners, communities, and each other. This defines the Jaynes Way.
