Focus: The Jaynes Way
By: Shad James
…guided by our values of being passionate about our work, keeping our focus on what’s important, remaining loyal to our people and processes, being true to what we say, and living humble, authentic lives.
Focus is hard.
Life is crazy. Phones and shows and advertisements compete for our attention, and it feels like there’s just too much to pay attention to. Timelines are tight, owners are demanding, and our jobs aren’t easy.
But focus means keeping our eye on what’s truly important: whether that’s your family (and decisions that will bring you home to them), your team (and decisions that will protect them and serve them), or the owner (and decisions that make his life easier and give him an excellent building). None of us can afford to take our eye off the ball. There’s no substitute for what matters.
Stay focused.
