Cortez Recreation Center

The Cortez Recreation Center in Cortez, Colorado is the crown jewel of the Parque de Vida, the largest park in the Cortez Parks and Recreation Department system. The main attraction is the Aquatic Center complete with an Olympic size pool, a six-lane lap pool, diving board, and a family pool area with water slides. The Cortez Recreation Center also features two racquet ball courts, a volleyball court, and multiple basketball courts, a climbing wall, exercise room with a track on the second floor, multipurpose rooms, and day-care facilities.

Jaynes provided extensive pre-construction services, including value engineering and early consultation with various subcontractors to secure low pricing for quality work, in order to bring the project within budget. Through this process, Jaynes helped the owner save $53,435 under the maximum guaranteed price.
