Las Cruces Regional Recreation and Aquatics Center

WINNER OF THE 2011 ASSOCIATED GENERAL CONTRACTORS NEW MEXICO BEST BUILDING AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING SPECIALTY WORK

With ample space to swim, meet, and workout, the Las Cruces Aquatic Center combined a multitude of aspects to support the community. This recreation and aquatic center features a therapeutic pool, a leisure pool for swimming instruction, a “lazy” river for play and aquacise, a three-lane pool for lap swimming, a water slide, and zero-entry pool with water play equipment. With an additional area outfitted as a gymnasium and community meeting area.

To bring the project to a successful completion, two phases were utilized. The first phase concentrated on the leisure pool, lockers, and core and shell for a fitness center. The following phase resulted in the gym and community meeting room build-out and construction of a competitive lap pool to round out the aquatic venue.
