UNM Valencia Workforce Training Center
The UNM Valencia Workforce Training Center involved a 20,000 gross square foot new construction, free-standing building to be located on nine acres of land in Los Lunas, NM. Jaynes served as the Construction Manager at-Risk providing pre-construction and construction services to the University of New Mexico’s Los Lunas branch. The new facility provides space to train the local workforce to meet the demands of the economic development boom in Valencia County. The space contains one-on-one tutoring spaces, dual-use classroom/meeting rooms, labs, learning commons, faculty/staff offices, a student lounge, a reception area, restrooms, and student work and support spaces. The building was designed and constructed to meet LEED® Silver certification.
