Passion: The Jaynes Way
By: Shad James
…guided by our values of being passionate about our work, keeping our focus on what’s important, remaining loyal to our people and processes, being true to what we say, and living humble, authentic lives…
We’ve all admired something built by a real craftsman. The word “Passion” gets thrown around a lot these days, but it’s important to remember that passion isn’t something that happens to you…it’s a choice.
You can choose, today, to do just enough, get by, or phone it in. You can treat this like a gig, not something that really lasts, matters, or defines you.
Or you can choose to work with passion. You can choose to work as though you’re building something that will reflect on you – and on your colleagues – for years after you’re gone. You can choose to work as a craftsperson, and pour yourself into your work.
Choose the second one.
